Overview
roboview is a viewing window with active glare protection, designed for automated welding and cutting systems. It works like an oversized auto-darkening filter: it darkens the moment the arc is struck and returns to the light state straight after welding. You can watch the entire process without entering the danger zone.
The window has no optical sensors — the darkening signal comes from the robot, the PLC or, via a simple two-core cable, directly from the welding power source. Darkening is therefore reliable whatever the position of the torch. The light state is shade 3, and you set the dark shade steplessly from 3 to 12 with a rotary knob. The integrated UV/IR filter protects against harmful radiation across the entire range.
The 28 × 24 cm field of view lets you monitor robot movement, wire feed, the arc and the weld seam at any time. You spot faults early, before they turn into costly scrap, and downtime is visible at a glance — a darkened window means the robot is welding. roboview is suitable for MIG/MAG and TIG welding, low-amperage welding, resistance welding and plasma spray coating, including enclosed robot and cobot cells.
The brushed stainless steel frame stands up to the demanding conditions in welding cells; the unit weighs approx. 2800 g. It can easily be retrofitted to an existing cell without modification. roboview is not personal protective equipment within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
