Respiratory protection for welding — which system?
optrel offers three systems that deliver clean air to your breathing zone:
- e3000X — a belt-worn TH3 blower unit for PAPR helmets: up to 240 l/min of air, up to 18 hours of operation, ATEX certified (zones 2 and 22).
- swiss air — a TH3/TM3 system with a ventilated half mask that you can combine with any welding helmet, including the one you already own.
- suppliedair — compressed air supply for PAPR helmets from your air network, for example in toxic environments and confined spaces.
Filters
A particle filter stops welding fume particles. If gases or vapours are also present at your workstation, use a combination filter — such as A1B1E1 for the e3000X or ABE1P and A2P for swiss air. Filters and consumables are in accessories and spare parts; replace them as the user manual specifies.
