swiss air is a powered air-purifying respirator (PAPR) built around a ventilated half mask made of high-tech fabric. A compact blower unit worn on your back delivers filtered air through a Y-hose straight to your mouth and nose. Light positive pressure supports your breathing and removes tiring breathing resistance.

The loose-fit fabric half mask gives you TH3 protection without time-consuming fit tests and also works for beard wearers. If you need a tighter seal, add the tight-fit silicone half mask (S, M, L). It reaches TM3 with a clean-shaven face, a positive seal check, regular fit tests and full ventilation mode — otherwise it still provides TH3 protection.

A particle filter is included and protects against particles, smoke, aerosols and viruses. For gases and vapours, upgrade to the ABE1P or A2P combination filter (A2P requires the green control panel); against unpleasant odours, fit the mountain breeze activated carbon odour filter in place of the pre-filter. The system is available with or without the control panel and with a spare battery.

The control panel shows filter loading and battery charge, offers stepless airflow control and compensates for altitude and temperature. When no panel is connected, you can control the system from the optrel app via Bluetooth Low Energy (units from serial number 2233). swiss air works independently of your other protective equipment, so you can pair it with the helmet of your choice — for example in a Ready-to-Weld package.
