helix 2.5 is an auto-darkening welding helmet that protects the whole head during welding and cutting. The Slide Up mechanism switches it between two modes: in clear mode you look through a clear visor with a 180° view, and in pano mode through a filter with the Panorama-XXL field of view, 6.3 times larger than a standard 100 × 50 mm filter. Moving between welding, grinding and preparation is quick and straightforward.

ShadeTronic® sets the shade automatically between 5 and 12, based on readings from 5 sensors. You can also set it manually (7–12) and adjust sensitivity continuously, up to the “Super High” range. The light state is shade 2.5, and FadeTronic brightens the filter gently once you stop welding. With the +1.0 inner cover lens, both ranges move up by one shade, to 13.

The helix series offers three filter versions: 2.5 (light state 2.5, shade 5–12, optical class 1/1/1/2), quattro (light state 3, shade 4–13, class 1/1/1/1) and clt (light state 2.0 thanks to crystal lens technology, shade 4–12). helix 2.5 is the entry-level version, with all the convenience of Slide Up and the panoramic filter.

Two versions are available: with a detachable EN 397 industrial safety helmet, or without it. The IsoFit® headgear offers numerous adjustment points, and the 280 mAh battery is topped up by the light of the welding arc (re-charge) or via Micro USB.
