Position Locker
Your helmet stays exactly where you put it
A mechanical two-position lock keeps the helmet securely raised or lowered — even during sudden head movements.
Position Locker is a simple mechanical component developed in response to frequent customer feedback: a raised helmet could unexpectedly drop down. The lock holds it securely in the position you choose — raised or lowered.
How it works
A precisely designed locking mechanism stabilises the helmet without complex mechanics. It stays put even during sudden head movements and needs no constant readjustment, yet you can easily lower it into the working position at any time.
What you gain
More comfort, because you no longer need to readjust the helmet, and more safety, because nothing suddenly blocks your view or distracts you from work. You benefit most wherever you switch frequently between viewing and working positions — in welding, grinding or machine operation.
Position Locker is integrated into the IsoFit® X headgear of the sphereX and panoramaxx laser series and of the clearmaxx with industrial safety helmet. The helix series has it despite its standard IsoFit® headgear, thanks to a reinforced helmet mount. For older optrel helmets with IsoFit® or comfort headgear, a separately available upgrade kit with IsoFit® X and Position Locker also allows an industrial safety helmet to be fitted.
