Overview

helix quattro is a Slide Up auto-darkening welding helmet that protects the whole head during welding and cutting. It switches between two modes: in clear mode you look through a clear visor with a 180° view, and in pano mode through a filter with the Panorama-XXL field of view, 6.3 times larger than a standard 100 × 50 mm filter. That makes it quick to move from welding to grinding or inspecting the seam.

The quattro filter has the highest EN 379 optical classification — 1/1/1/1, including angular dependence, where the 2.5 and clt versions are rated class 2. ShadeTronic® sets the shade automatically between 4 and 13, and manual mode covers 8–13. With the +1.0 inner cover lens, the range extends to shade 14. The light state is shade 3.

Five sensors detect the arc, and sensitivity can be adjusted continuously, up to the “Super High” range. FadeTronic brightens the filter gently after welding, and the IsoFit® headgear lets you fine-tune the fit. The 280 mAh battery is topped up by the light of the welding arc (re-charge) or via Micro USB.

helix quattro is available with a detachable EN 397 industrial safety helmet, or without it. For respiratory protection there is a Ready-to-Weld package with swiss air, and the powered air version is available as helix pure air quattro.
