Overview

helix clt combines the Slide Up design of the helix series with a filter built on crystal lens technology (CLT). In clear mode you look through a clear visor with a 180° view, and in pano mode through a filter with the Panorama-XXL field of view, 6.3 times larger than a standard 100 × 50 mm filter. The helmet protects the whole head during welding and cutting.

What sets the clt version apart is the brightest light state in the series — shade 2.0 — and true colour view. Before striking the arc you see your surroundings clearly, and while welding you can follow the weld pool and the tarnish colours on the seam, which is particularly useful for TIG. ShadeTronic® sets the shade between 4 and 12, with 7–12 available manually; with the +1.0 inner cover lens both ranges move up by one shade, to 13.

Five sensors detect the arc even in difficult lighting, sensitivity can be adjusted continuously up to the “Super High” range, and FadeTronic brightens the filter gently after welding. The IsoFit® headgear with numerous adjustment points and a 280 mAh battery charged by the welding arc (re-charge) or via Micro USB complete the specification.

Available with a detachable EN 397 industrial safety helmet, or without it. For respiratory protection there is a Ready-to-Weld package with swiss air, and the powered air version is available as helix pure air clt.
