Overview
The weldcap is a super-lightweight, very comfortable welding cap with an auto-darkening filter — complete, it weighs 360 g. An ergonomic nose cut-out in the optical unit gives you a panoramic view, and the filter shows colours naturally; the optical class to EN 379 is 1/1/1/2.
The shade is adjustable steplessly between 9 and 12, covering a wide range of welding applications. In the light state the filter is at shade 3, and thanks to the clear view and grind mode the weldcap also works well for grinding and plasma cutting. A wide-angle sensor detects the arc, and the filter is powered by solar cells and two replaceable CR2032 batteries.
The robust textile part, made of flame-retardant material, is quick to remove and easy to wash; on this version it is brown. The weldcap family also includes the weldcap bump with an integrated bump cap and the weldcap hard for mounting on an industrial safety helmet. The weldcap is also available in a Ready-to-Weld package.
